A two-hour workshop-visit in which we provided a brief overview of the history, evolution, and operation of letterpress, as well as a practical printing demonstration. Together, we composed a phrase that we printed on a postcard, which the students could take home.
With the students from the School of Audiovisual Media (EMAV), we brainstormed, each student wrote a phrase, which we then read aloud, selecting the phrase they liked best to print. The chosen phrase was “Let’s put ourselves in a situation,” which was printed on adhesive paper, with the idea of being able to stick it anywhere in any possible “situation.”
