Monthly sessions lasting one day where a group of people conceptualize, develop, and collectively produce a printed piece. These sessions are open to the general public, aiming to bring typography closer to everyone.
Initiation workshops are collective workshops where participants can experience firsthand how typographic printing works. The workshop’s dynamic involves thinking and creating a piece together with everyone involved… we design it, compose it, and print it. All ideas, texts, phrases, words, etc., are welcome.
Each participant contributes their personal material, from which we open a space for collective thinking and collaboratively seek a design idea to print. There is a break at noon for lunch, either nearby or with sandwiches or packed meals… All materials are included.
Initiation workshops are always held on the first Saturday of each month from 10 AM to 6 PM and cost €65 per person. We have a scholarship fund for students, unemployed individuals, and retirees with a reduced price of €50.
The objectives of the workshop are: To gain firsthand knowledge of the processes and mechanisms of typography. To familiarize oneself with the language, materials, machinery, and tools used in typographic printing. To develop critical, experimental, and creative thinking in design processes. To learn the basic elements of the history of typographic printing and its evolution. To value the material and immaterial heritage that comes from recovering machinery and knowledge often deemed obsolete, and how these become an essential complement for mastering new technologies.
