Discover letterpress printing in a single, intensive 8-hour session at our L’Automàtica workshop. Conceptualize, design, and produce between one and three pieces with a small group of participants. This is the ideal workshop to familiarize yourself with the processes and tools of this printing technique and return home with a few copies of your printed piece. The workshop includes all the necessary materials. There is a workshop on the first weekend of each month.

At L’Automàtica we have a lot of experience in the design and execution of training workshops for student groups. Throughout these years of experience, we worked with various centers in the city, and also with centers from England, Germany and Australia.

These workshops-visits have a duration of 2 hours and are for groups of 20 students, where the technical principles of letterpress printing are explained and a brief historical tour of its evolution and the trades connected with printing is carried out.

The workshop-visit also has a practical part where a sentence or a small mold is composed among all the students and later is printed, so they can take home a copy and thus know first-hand the entire printing process.

Come to L’Automática to print your project. We accompany you in a tailor-made workshop, where you learn and participate in all the production processes and decisions. This workshop modality can be extended to 1, 2 or 3 days, depending on the project’s complexity. Materials are not included (special papers, prints, offset plates, special inks, etc.).

Monthly and regular program of free workshops for families on the second Saturday of each month from 11 AM to 12 PM.

The aim is to bring printing and self-publishing closer to the little ones. The family workshops take place on weekend mornings, and in addition to typography, we also explore other printing techniques accessible to children, such as photocopying, collage, and stamps.

L’Automàtica offers various workshops aimed at the youngest.

• “Remena la taula” develops the concepts of fanzine, self-publishing, page layout, and collage.
• “Superveloz” focuses on illustration, urban planning, visual narrative, and composition through stamps.
• “Les parets parlen” fosters written expression, empowerment, the development of critical thinking, giving voice to one’s own ideas, and reflection on the world.
• “Punts de llibre” develops writing, poetry, composition, and typographic printing.

All workshops are free with pre-registration.

Workshop for posters with reivindicative content aimed at visualizing collective and local struggles for immediate printing with the press.

Through the posters and written expression, the workshop aims to bring together the problems and struggles that participants share, with the intention of making the printing of reivindicative posters a space for complicity and commitment to the neighborhood and the reality that surrounds us.
