A meeting of three projects centered around the printing press and the collective: La Linterna, L’Automàtica, and the Can Batlló Collective Printing Press. A day of celebration, discussion, and live demonstrations of these three cultural initiatives, rooted in their neighborhoods and the persistence of a craft, with the visit to Barcelona of our Colombian colleagues from La Linterna.
The three projects share many ways of doing and working, but above all, we share a passion for lead, inks, and the connection to our cities and our creative and neighborhood communities. How can the recovery of an obsolete printing technique regenerate the social fabric around it and become a hub for multiple connections and correspondances?
The days leading up to the event, meetings were held between the master printers of the three collectives and their members to celebrate, share, and build a mutual understanding.
