Composer, free improviser, vocal artist and turntablist.
Born in Uddevalla (Sweden) in 1964, and raised between Tunisia, Spain, Sweden, Liberia and Argentina. These regular and constant movements in her early years are clearly reflected in her music: a sound universe of fragments, collages of sound textures and a frenetic vocal chaos of invented sounds and words. Resident in Argentina for over 40 years and currently rooted in Barcelona, her training and musical career began with the electric bass in the central jazz scene of Buenos Aires.
In the early 90s she ventured into free, experimental music and improvisation, where she delved into the sonic possibilities of the voice, interacting with electronics and the turntable.
She has performed, collaborated and recorded with a large number of musicians in concert halls, clubs, theaters and museums in Argentina and Europe such as Otomo Yoshihide, Edgardo Rudnitsky, Julián Galay, Enrique Norris, Vinzenz Schwab, Andrea Parkins, Philip Leitner, Christoff La Kurziner, Juan Manones de la Industria Rodriguez, Carlos Costa, Larry Polansky, Chris Mann, Camila Nebbia, Violeta García, Dieb13, Joanna Mattrey, Paul Pignon, Luis Conde, Leonor Falcón, among many others. Artacts ´24, Dokkhuset (Trondheim), Kafé Haeverk (Oslo), Roulette Intermedium (NY), Centro d’experimentation del Teatro Colón (BsAs), Buenos Aires International Jazz Festival, M3 Festival (NYC), LEM Festival, 30nits Festival in Barcelona, Der Bloede Critte Mittwoch Series and Smallform Köttien Vienna Spekt are some of the stages and festivals where she has performed.
Since 2020 she has been researching the relationship between geography, architecture, sound and community with projects such as the duo Surubeat, with the Argentinian visual artist Rosario Murúa and experimental projects in different art residencies such as Dos ombúes (Arg) and clanz (It).
For the last 20 years she has been coaching and teaching vocal experimentation and improvisation, in addition to giving improvisation workshops for voice and other instruments.
